Brief history of the ford Sierra XR4

In 1983 the high-performance XR4i version was introduced. It utilized a tuned version of the 2.8i V6 engine and sported a restyled version of the 3-door Sierra body shell. The double rear spoiler and curious multi-pillared rear windows were considered over-styled by some prospective buyers and the car never achieved the cult status of the smaller Fiesta XR2 and Escort XR3i. A version of the XR4i was sold in the United States as the Merkur XR4Ti, Merkur being Ford's brand name in the US and Canada for German-sourced Ford models. In South Africa, there was a 3.0 litre V6 version, called the XR6; while a limited run of 250 eight-cylinder XR8s was made in South Africa for saloon car racing homologation in 1984.

In 1985 the XR4i was replaced by the XR4x4, which was based on the five-door hatchback, had four-wheel drive and was powered by a 2.8 litre V6 engine. By the end of its production in 1990, 23,540 had been produced.

Argentina retained the XR4i for some years after it was deleted in Europe in 1985.

more early christian history

Other information i have come across that is hard to find is a burial cave in Kid Ron Valley discovered in 1941, belonging to Cyrenaica Jews and dating before AD 70, was found to have an ossuary inscribed twice in Greek "Alexander Son of Simon.
Alexander was the son of Simon of Cyrene per the Gospel of Mark 15:21
And they compel one Simon a Cyrenaica, who passed by, coming out of the country, the father of Alexander and Rufus, to bear his cross.
A Depository of Inscribed Ossuary’s in the Kid Ron Valley," Israel Exploration Journal 12 [1962]
In 1958 a book called, "Gli Scavi Del Dominus Flevit" was published that detailed the discovery of a tomb on the Mount of Olives. Inside were several ossuary’s (bone boxes)form the 1st century.
The first catacomb found near Bethany was investigated by renowned French archaeologist Charles Clermont-Genera. The other, a large burial cemetery unearthed near the modern Dominus Flevit Chapel, was excavated by Italian scholar, P. Bagatti.
Both archaeologists found evidence clearly dating the two catacombs to the first century AD, with the later finding coins minted by Governor Varius Gratus at the turn of the millennium (up to 15/16 AD). Evidence in both catacombs indicated their use for burial until the middle part of the first century AD.
As Claremont-Ganneau further investigated the tomb, he found inscriptions, including the names of "Eleazar"(="Lazarus"), "Martha" and "Mary" on three different coffins.
When Bagatti began excavating the burial place which he numbered 299, he stumbled upon several unique surprises. On ossuary, number 97, which boor the sign of the cross, Bagatti found a Greek inscription.
The inscription
"[Here are the] bones of the younger Judah, a proselyte [to Christianity] from Tyre." References to Tyre, a port city north of Galilee, is found in Matthew 15 and Mark 7. It was a city visited by Jesus.
What was the reason this find was never widely published?
The discovery of another ossuary with the Hebrew inscription of "Shimon Bar Yonah" or in English "Simon son of Jonah".
Mat 16:17 and Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Bar jona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven.

I have posted a few things here that I  have researched over the years.

some more early christian findings

Here is another picture that rarely sees the light of day. This time form Herculaneum, the sister city of Pompeii, also destroyed and buried in 79 AD.
Interestedly the building where this was discovered has since been razed with the floor now missing in front of the altar. Why?
This was in a private home and the object in front of the altar was a carbonized wooden ledge to kneel on and a shelf to hold a scroll, which was used for prayer. Notice the object the occupants took with them off the wall.

One of the earliest uses of the word 'Christian' outside the Bible found in Pompeii (Buried in 79 AD) inside a building wall
BOVIO AUDI(T) CHRISTIANO'S = BOVIO LENDS HIS EAR TO THE CHRISTIANS

christian artifacts

I believe that Christianity as in the Book of Acts was spread throughout the Empire way before 79 AD. That the Gospels and epistles of the NT were obviously not only written (Prior to 79 AD) but disseminated widely as the Book of Acts indicates.
Most liberal scholars try to tell us that the NT was not completed before the beginning of the 2nd century with some claiming an even later date. I have always contended that Christianity was spread throughout the empire by the mid 1st century.
Now this picture of an object, an oil lamp from Pompeii, Italy which can be positively dated to 79 AD and most likely even earlier contains Chi Rho. This is the first two letters of Christ’s name in Greek.
Used from the earliest days of Christianity on lamps, liturgical objects, sarcophagi with the a & w Greek Alpha & Omega.

health/tootheache

I have used these methods to deal with toothaches. Some work better than others. Some have even saved me a dentist trip. Thought I would share it.

1. Using Icepack: Ice offers excellent numbing properties. Hold the ice around affected area and try to compress it there. Most often, the pain gets reduced as it is excellent in suppressing pain at nerve endings.
2. Get fresh peppermint (approximately 5 grams), add it in one cup of water and boil it, add half table spoon of salt. Make the water lukewarm and drink it. When ingested, this solution acts as pain killer and can eradicate other pains like headaches.
3. Using cucumber: Get cucumber from any vegetable stores, cut it into thicker slices. Hold these pieces on and around the tooth that is paining and it will start working to give soothing effect. If cucumber is refrigerated, it is better as its very chillness acts as catalyst to its soothing effect.
4. You can try out swig of whiskey over the irritating tooth. Once the gums surrounding absorb some quantity of alcohol, it delivers a kind of anaesthesia to the affected area which results in lessening the pain.
5. Using oats: If toothache is experiencing the presence of abscess at gums then holding oats there can draw out the puss. The pain will be reduced.
6. Using dried peppermint leaves: Place a small stack of dried peppermint leaves around the aching tooth for 15 minutes and then spit out. Repeat this procedure10 to 15 times a day. Peppermint acts in a dual way. First, it brings the abscess to the upper surface if there any and then acts as pain killer.
7. Using real vanilla extracts: Get a cotton ball and put some real vanilla extract on it. Apply it on the inflamed location and you will be amazed to find out that it numbs!
8. Using Clove: From ancient times, clove oil has been one of the regular instant therapies. If you are not able to find the clove oil, then search your kitchen shelves to find out few cloves. Try to squeeze this towards the painful area. Clove being analgesic in nature will reduce the soreness.
9. Asafoetida: Another miraculous pain killer! Take a half spoon of it and mix it with bit of lemon juice to make the paste of it. Make this paste Luke warm and apply the mixture with help of cotton ball.
10. Use of Iodine: just a drop of iodine put on the tooth do the job. But you have to be cautious and you should not swallow it.
11. Oil of Oregano: Although it tastes bad and leaves a burning sensation behind after application, it has got natural antibiotic properties.
12. Garlic: Make a paste of garlic and add some rock salt to it. Make a homogeneous mixture to apply on the affected area.

There are few home made preventive measures which can be used effectively to counter the emergence of toothache. After each meal and at bed time, rinse with salty water by adding one tablespoon of sea salt in 12 ounce water. If this doesn’t work, then use the flossing techniques gently. Every day morning, have a gentle massage of gums by fingers using salt.

Hope this does help any readers here.
Thanks

Health/ flu/plague tonic.

This is the plague/flu tonic I use over winter. It works 100% for me and a few others who tried it.

1 part fresh chopped garlic cloves

1 part fresh chopped White Onion (or hottest onions)

1 part fresh grated Ginger Root

1 part fresh grated Horseradish Root

1 part fresh chopped Cayenne Peppers

or the hottest peppers available, i.e. habanero, African Bird, or Scotch Bonnets, etc.
 ----------------------------------------------------------?----------------------
Fill a glass jar 3/4 of the way full w/equal parts by volume (i.e. a cupful each) of the above fresh chopped and grated herbs. Then fill jar to the top with RAW, Unfiltered, unbleached, non-distilled apple cider vinegar. Close and shake vigorously and then top off the vinegar if necessary.

Shake at least once a day for two weeks then filter the mixture through a clean piece of cotton (old T-shirt, etc.), bottle and label. Make sure that when you make this tonic that you shake it every time you walk by it, a minimum of once per day. Remember that all the herbs and vegetables should be fresh (and organically grown if possible) and use dried herbs only in an emergency.

This tonic is extremely powerful because all the ingredients are fresh. Its power should not be underestimated. This formula is a modern day plague tonic and  it can cure the most chronic conditions and stubborn flu.
